4 simple pieces to add to your work wardrobe

If I had a dollar for every time I woke up in the morning to get ready for work and stared at the clothes in my closet for 20 minutes, I’d be rich and likely laying on a beach somewhere. ??

But, since that’s not happening, I’m rounding up 4 of my favorite work outfit staples that I’ve added to my wardrobe to make dressing professional so.much.simpler (especially at 6:30 a.m.).

The classic black pant. Owning a pair of black pants is essential to a work wardrobe. There is one specific brand that has stolen my heart in fit, style, and comfort.

Sloan fit pant by Banana Republic I own several pairs of these in multiple colors. They sit nicely on the hips and are slimming and comfortable. I always recommend this pant to ladies with a similar body type as me, but are a hit with anyone!

A chic blazer. Always versatile, a blazer can be worn dressed up or with jeans, and is a must have to any woman’s closet.

Mossimo soft blazer in red I love adding a colored blazer to my mix. Black is great to have on hand, but this one from Target with the tie detailing adds a unique and unexpected element while staying classic.

The professional dress. There will be times when pants and a blazer feel uninspiring. For those times, I call in a professional, yet fun dress. I’ve love this particular dress for trade shows, networking events, and luncheons.

Scarlett Popover Dress It can be worn alone or paired with a cardigan or blazer. It’s also different than just a standard solid black dress. Win! ??

A fun blouse. Style under a blazer or wear solo, it’s always a good thing to have a few different blouses on hand.

Express front zip blouse I love the zipper detailing and different color options. It’s lightweight so it will keep you cool in the office in summer.

Staying simple, classic, and versatile has been my way of truth to approaching the work wardrobe. Try to mix and match colors, as it’s easy to fall into the black and white theme. Adding layering necklaces and other accessories will help make work outfits feel more “you.” Happy shopping! ?
