3 Motivating Podcasts For Your Morning Commute
Podcasts have been on the rise in terms of popularity in the last several years, but they are not a new way to get your content to a user. To be honest, I avoided podcasts for a long time, because I simply didn’t understand the value that they brought.
A few years later, a long morning commute to work came into my life and I felt like I was just wasting so.much.time. I did a little research, and realized I could find so many amazing resources just by digging in to podcasts a bit more. Now, my morning commutes are filled with education, wisdom, and honestly…they feel PRODUCTIVE. Makes me happy while I’m sitting at a dead stop on the highway.
I pulled together 3 of my faves, which are all so inspiring and on the theme of women in business. In some way shape or form, we are all businesswomen, and I get SO much from all 3 of these podcasts.
- The Amber Lilyestrom Show – I discovered Amber through another podcast ironically enough. She is such a disruptive force of passion and vision. She teaches how to be intentional on creating a career and life that fits with who you are – and is a rockstar in understanding brand from the inside out. I’ll be honest, I cried the first time I listened to her because she just gets it, and is so relatable. I recommend this for any woman on a mission of self-discovery or re-discovery.
- The Influencer Podcast w/ Julie Solomon – If you are a blogger, this is a MUST. If you are a marketer, this is a MUST. If you are neither of those things, you’ll still get SO much of out Julie’s extensive experience as an influencer, marketer, and brand strategist. She shares so many insights and is on the forefront of the latest in social media. She is also incredibly personal. I have reached out to her on a few occasions and she responded directly. I also may begin a class of hers, just because she teaches with such conviction and honesty!
- The Goal Digger Podcast w/ Jenna Kutcher – I discovered Jenna quite a few years ago, because we are from the same hometown and I noticed we shared similar friends on Facebook. She is a photographer by trade, but also has a fascinating story of how she left the corporate grind to start her own business. Listening to her podcast is one of the reasons I started blogging. She has incredible guests who share their stories openly and honestly, and many have actionable steps you can take after the show to make progress on your own goals.
