This year we were strapped for cash due to a lot of the issues we’ve had with our home. When it comes to Christmas decorations, I can not control myself, ha! So, I decided to slap a $100 budget for decorating and took to the stores.
I will say, I’m fairly impressed with how far that money went, and I was able to fill my house much more than I was last year. It is now our 2nd Christmas in this house and I’m making progress. I stick to a gold/silver theme throughout as that tends to go with our already existing decor best.
Here’s a run through of some of the items I bought:
Other Christmas decorations not pictured include garland I got for $10, a cute little Christmas tin for $5, a free-standing tree for $19 that I put in our entry way, and my regular Christmas tree decor.
Here’s the official results:
I’m loving how everything came together to match with what I purchased last year. It was not that hard to accomplish with a $100 budget and most things I got were easily under $15. If you head over to my shop page, you can purchase a few of these items yourself! How are you making your money go farther this holiday season? Share your tips with me in the comments.
I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
