One of my favorite holidays over the past few years to celebrate has been Galentine’s Day on February 13. Getting together with your best gal pals to chat, sip on wine and eat yummy snacks sounds like a great way to spend a day to me. Recently I threw together a simple and small gathering that didn’t take much effort or planning at all, and I wanted to share what I did and show you how easy it can be.
Let’s start with the sips. I stuck with the traditional wine for drinks, but one of my favorite ways to make a wine cocktail is to take your favorite moscato wine and mix it with raspberry lemonade! Garnish with some raspberries and you have a fun cocktail with just 3 ingredients.
Now for the snacks. I bought the traditional cheese and cracker tray as well as veggies, but spent a little more time on the dessert. First, Trader Joe’s macaroons are a delicious and easy option and makes for a lovely piece of decor as well. I also bought their X’s and O’s gummies and they were a hit! Lastly, I topped it off with a cute cake stand from the Target dollar spot and some classic Valentine’s Day cupcakes. My best advice is to not over complicate it, and there are so many fun options that make it easy.
My favorite dessert of the day was my strawberry brownie skewers! It took me about 10 minutes total to prep and put these together, and below is the recipe you can screenshot to try it out yourself:
Throwing a Galentine’s Party does not have to be overwhelming, and I hope some of these ideas inspired or encouraged you to gather your friends together for a fun day.
